Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were America’s first Super Group. Bill Graham referred to them as
the “American Beatles”.

Consisting of former members of the Byrds, the Hollies, and Buffalo Springfield, CSN&Y was
based on the collaboration of four brilliant songwriters, ethereal harmonies, unique tunings,
masterful acoustic ballads and aggressive rock & roll played on big-body electric guitars blasting
through Marshall stacks on 10. Perhaps 11 if you go by David Crosby’s assessment of the stage
volume.

Our House, Suite Judy Blue Eyes, Guinevere, Lady of the Island, Find the Cost of Freedom, and
Helplessly Hoping introduced seamless harmonies that are recognized instantly. Rockers like
Wooden Ships, Woodstock, Southern Man, and Ohio breathed fire and revolution and drove kids
to their local music stores, clamoring for their first electric guitar.

Despite intense personal conflicts, break ups, reunions, drugs, women, more break ups, more
drugs, and still more reunions, they created eight massively successful albums that owned FM
radio. They played standing-room-only arenas for decades. No American band of their time had
as big of an influence on the shape of popular rock music.

All four members are two-time inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Deja Vu Again is currently the only touring tribute in the US that recreates both their electric and
acoustic material in loving detail.

THE BAND:

Jim McClellan
– Vocals, harmonica, percussion
– Jim spent years playing in rock and blues bands in the Houston-Austin area. The Shadowcasters’ critically acclaimed album “It Takes Time” featured Jim as the lead vocalist and showcased his amazing harmonica skills. He has toured with Bo Diddley, Delbert McClinton, the Ventures, and Roy Head.

Curt Bazemore
– Vocals, electric & acoustic guitar, keyboards
– Curt was a founding member of the House Rules Band, which launched Annika Chamber’s career (Vizztone recording artist and three-time winner of the National Blues Foundation award for Soul Blues Female Artist of the Year). Before Déjà Vu Again, he served as band leader and arranger for 2021 VOICE contestant Constance Victoria. Curt wrote and recorded with Clint Black and toured with such eclectic acts as Uriah Heep, the Ventures, Rare Earth, Wishbone Ash, and Country Joe & the Fish.

Hans Vanbrackle
– Vocals, electric & acoustic guitar, trumpet
– While based in Georgia and playing with his band Abacus, Hans contributed lead guitar and vocals to three Robert Lester Folsom albums (Music and Dreams, Ode To A Rainy Day, Sunshine Only Sometimes). He relocated to Louisiana to join the U.S. Times, which recorded three albums (I Wanna Go To London, Hip Isn’t It, This Town). His following band, Living Links, recorded the album Gathering The Forces, which achieved underground cult status and was recently re-released by Riding Easy Records. Hans has opened for many national touring acts, including Blondie, Culture Club, and Stray Cats.

Marv Hill
– Vocals, electric & acoustic guitar, keyboards
– Marv comes from an “Indie / Alternative” background. While based in Ohio, Marv played with the alternative progressive rock band World Without Shoe. In addition to writing most of the material and singing lead, Marv contributed keys and guitar on their two albums (Favorite Drinking Songs, It Just Doesn’t Fit). Frequently, in conjunction with RH Factor, his band toured predominately along the upper East Coast. Later, he recorded a CD and toured regionally as half of the duo Buzzman.

Basil (BC) Anagnostis
– Vocals, bass, guitar
– Galveston, born in BC, is a Gulf Coast music community fixture. Before joining Déjà Vu Again, BC played with numerous well-known Texas legends, including James Hilt, Tommy Gill, and recording artists Mean Gene Kelton and Mark May.

John Detter
– Drums & percussion
– John is from Houston and has played with numerous rock, country, and pop acts. As a Johnny & The Convertibles member, John toured as part of a national “oldies” show backing the Kingsman, the Platters, and Roy Head.

Dave Levin
